May everyone’s 2011 be full of new reasons to smile.
While at my parents’, I asked my father if he happened to have any old film cameras lying around the house. He just revealed to me he has a Yashica-Mat EM still in the box from when he purchased it in the 60′s!!! The only problem is, my father is a hoarder. Finding this camera in his hoarding stash will be like finding a needle in a haystack, but at least we know it’s there. So the treasure hunt ensues.
I’m sooooo excited to give this little gem a try and dabble in some film photography.
Once we find the camera I will post pics of the real deal! But this is what we’ll be looking for:

It SNOWED yesterday. Sure it was a pretty pathetic amount compared to other places, but it was the first time I had ever seen anything white fall from the sky! So pretty. Pretty enough to make my nose blush.





A late and overdue life update. Brace yourselves. It’s a long one.
A few weeks ago I invited a friend to come over from Florida and spend the weekend with me in Georgia. We had all sorts of fun.
On Friday we set out to climb down Stone Mountain. We couldn’t have picked a hotter summer day. I thought Florida was hot, but now I know why they call it HOTlanta. Boy did we break a sweat.

Below is a simple walk-through on how I achieved the look in my “Incognito” self-portrait. When browsing through my set of images, sometimes it takes me a while to realize the potential in an image. I force myself to visualize how the images will look if I try cropping them a different way. The composition can really make a mediocre image a GREAT image …
